What is the MITA YouStartIT Validator?
The MITA YouStartIT Validator, in short ‘Validator’, is a pre-accelerator programme first launched in April 2019. The programme is designed to help startup founders improve and validate their idea for a startup project. Submitted projects must be based on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Distributed Ledger Technologies, immersive technologies and others. The Validator embraces the Lean Startup methodology with its “fail fast” concept. Up to 15 startups can be selected to participate in the programme and up to four of the best startup ideas can be selected at the end of the training programme to proceed to the acceleration phase within the MITA YouStartIT Accelerator Programme and receive €30,000 pre-seed fund to give their startup idea a further boost.
Who should apply?
Startup founders whose projects are still at idea stage, and therefore still need to be validated. Startups who apply for the Validator Programme must be ready to take their project to the YouStartIT accelerator programme.
What does it consist of?
The programme consists of sessions delivered weekly with a bootcamp activity at the end. Startups will deliver their pitch to be selected on the final day of the bootcamp. During the programme, participants are expected to carry out research and validation assignments related to their project. Topics covered during the Validator Programme are listed in the table below.
